Thanks for the Compassion

Dear QSaltLake Magazine,

I wanted to thank you for featuring my piece entitled “The Time for Compassion is Now” as a guest editorial in your August 2013 issue.
To have a voice for compassion within the community I love most meant a great deal to me. I also appreciated that you chose to include me in the Annual Pet Issue with Michael Aaron’s wonderful “Four-Legged Family Members” and so many other animal-affirming articles. I recently had the pleasure of a lively conversation about writing with Leesa Myers and my dear friend Charles Frost in a session of the SLCC Community Writing Center’s Gay Writes writing group. It was wonderful to be published alongside them. You have my gratitude.
