San Diego County DA Marries

Republican San Diego County District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis and her partner of 11 years, Denise Neleson, recently got married in Monterey, Calif., The San Diego Union-Tribune reported. 

“We were glad to have the opportunity to get married. We hope people in the future will have that opportunity,” Dumanis told the newspaper.

On Nov. 4, voters will have a chance to amend the state constitution to re-ban same-sex marriage, which was legalized by the state Supreme Court in a ruling that took effect in June.

Dumanis’ mother and Neleson’s father attended the wedding.
