Schedule for So. Utah AIDS Walk Released

Southern Utah’s AIDS Walk & Dance-a-Thon will be held Saturday, May 31 at Coyote Gulch Art Village (a part of the Kayenta Community in Ivins, UT). The event is a benefit for the HIV/AIDS Task Force of Washington County and its efforts to offer free HIV/AIDS testing and education to local residents. All are welcome to participate, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. The minimum donation for participating in the walk is $11 – the cost of one HIV test kit. 

Walk

8:00 a.m. Check in and donation collection

9:00 a.m. Walk begins (minimum donation $11, but any amount is welcome)

10:30 a.m. Book signing by Sharon Lund (AIDS activist and author of Sacred Living, Sacred Dying) in Xetava Gardens Cafe (Kayenta)

11:15 a.m. Guided walk of Kayenta’s Desert Rose Labyrinth

Dance-a-Thon

DJ Johnny Star Rocket will spin at the evening’s Dance-a-Thon. Themed “50 years of the Best Dance Music,” the evening will play songs from all genres and all decades from the 50s to today’s top hits.

6:30 p.m. Check in and donation collection ($110 suggested donation, but all levels of donation welcome)

8:00 p.m. Dance begins
Opening number “We Go Together” (performed by local participants)

9:00 p.m. Prize Drawings
