Equality Utah Offers Legislative Training

With the general legislative session opening in a matter of weeks and a number of bills seeking to secure equal rights for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Utahns up for discussion, Equality Utah is calling on queer Utahns and their allies to call on their representatives for their support of these bills, collectively known as the Common Ground Initiative.

In the next few days, Equality Utah will offer its Citizen Lobbyist Training workshop on how to write, email and talk to senators and representatives in the coming months. Workshops will take place on Jan. 13 in Park City Library Conference Room, 1255 Park Avenue, from 6:30–8:00 p.m. and Jan. 15 at the Utah State Capital, Room C 445, from 6–8:00 p.m.
